Candle Wax Before Melting

CANDLE CARE

Tips for making your candle burn at its best.

Burning:

Isn't it awful when your candle burns a tunnel down the center and never gets to the edge?

Candles have memory, so you can easily avoid this.

The first time you burn it, let it burn until its melted across the whole top. A little wax remaining around the edges of the container is acceptable, and should melt down by the second  or third  burn.  The depth of the wax pool should be 1/4 to 1/2 inch, but a slight variance here is ok.  For larger containers the wax pool  may take 2 -5 hours depending on the diameter of the container.

Burning your candle for longer than the recommended time may cause discolouration of your candle.

Discontinue burning your candle when there is 1/8 of wax remaining on the bottom of the glass.

Make sure to burn as recommended on the bottom of your candle.

Wicks:

It is very important to trim each wick to 1/4" before you light your candle every time., from the first burn and before  repeated lightings. This helps your candle to burn evenly and increases the life of your candle.

Soy Candles:

There are many benefits of burning soy wax candles.  Soy wax has a cleaner burn with no toxins or pollutants. It is a 100% Natural renewable source that is biodegradable and water soluble.  Soy wax lasts 30% - 50% longer than traditional wax candles.

You might notice after your candle has burned that the texture is no longer as smooth as it was.  This is because we use all natural 100% soy wax with no harsh chemicals (like paraffins) to keep it looking pretty.  Don't worry though,  this is the nature of Soy wax.  The texture does not affect the hot throw or burn time of your candle.  And you can rest easy knowing you aren't breathing in anything harmful in your home.
